STRAP is the most comprehensive structural analysis, design and detailing packages on the market today. It has been used to design the world's most prestigious structures by organisations such as Buro Happold, WSP, Jacobs and Mott MacDonald. The UK's leading Engineers use STRAP to design the most prestigious structures worldwide. From the Dartford crossing to the second Tagus crossing in Portugal, from Riyadh to Hong Kong, STRAP has been used on many of the world's major bridge projects.

STRAP is suitable for frames, towers, tanks, bridges, domes and just about any elastic structure. STRAP designs in reinforced concrete and steel to most codes of practise. For the engineer interested in dynamic effects, STRAP also includes modules for modal analysis, seismic response spectra calculations according to many codes and time-history response calculations. STRAP comes with design modules for designing reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete and hot-rolled and cold-formed structural steel structures.

STRAP uses graphical input for the generation of models and loads. Every drawing on the screen can be printed, imported into other documents, or (through DXF) into drawings. Complete analysis and design can be performed for any structure without ever referring to joint or beam numbers. Load combinations can be created after analysis is performed. Combinations can be changed instantly without solving the model again.

The learning curve for using STRAP is practically non-existent. The program's flow is like the analysis and design process performed by hand. During the execution of every action the prompt line at the bottom of the screen guides you. Combine this with the context-sensitive Help and you can understand why many of our users do not even know where their STRAP manual is.

STRAP which is very competatively priced will meet all structural analysis needs whilst still being easy to use. It will analyse and design just about any structure you can think of. Users in an independent survey gave STRAP a remarkable 9.5 out of 10 for ease of use.

STRAP can be purchased directly from Sigma-X. The sales process typically involves Sigma-X discussing the technical requirement with the purchaser over the telephone and/or by email.


Licence Options

STRAP can be purchased as a local or a network licence. All STRAP licences are secured by a hard lock (dongle).

STRAP licences are sold in perpetuity however we strongly recommend keeping licences maintenanced as major STRAP upgrades are issued annually.


How to Purchase

All purchases are initiated by telephone or email to Sigma-X. We issue a pro forma invoice and then upon approval an invoice. As we do not give credit we issue a receipt and dispatch the software upon receipt of payment.

Customers may purchase STRAP in Sterling or Euro using bacs, online banking, PayPal or by debit/credit card. Sigma-X banking details are written on our invoices. All sales outside of the Ireland are VAT free if the purchaser provides a VAT number.


Annual Maintenance

Maintenance is charged annually at 15% of the current price of the licenced software. Maintenance entitles the customer to technical support, upgrades and updates of STRAP software.

As STRAP releases a major upgrade annually it is strongly recommended that customers keep their software maintained. Also to comply with quality management systems it is a standard requirement to keep software maintained.

The prices listed are for the first local licence of STRAP software. The price of the first network licence is 150% of the prices listed. Additional local and network licences are discounted.
